ClearRemote Terms of Use
Effective 12 October 2026. These terms are the agreement between you and BetheApp, the publisher of ClearRemote, for the app on iPhone and iPad. By using the app you accept them. The Privacy Policy explains how data is handled. Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA) also applies.
1. The service
ClearRemote controls compatible smart TVs from Samsung, LG, Roku, Google TV and Fire TV over your local Wi-Fi network. Your phone and the TV must be on the same network, and some TVs must approve the phone once on the TV screen. Which functions work depends on the TV's model and software, which the TV makers can change at any time.
ClearRemote is an independent app. It is not made, endorsed or supported by Samsung, LG, Roku, Google or Amazon. Their names are used only to say which TVs the app works with, and their trademarks belong to their owners.
2. What is free, forever
Every button of the remote is free, with no trial and no time limit: power, volume, mute, channels, the arrows and OK, Back, Home, input and playback, for every TV you pair. There are no ads.
3. ClearRemote Pro: plans and prices
ClearRemote Pro is optional. It adds the keyboard (type on the TV from your phone), the touchpad, Control Center and Lock Screen controls, and Siri shortcuts. There is no weekly plan and no free trial. Both plans work with Apple Family Sharing: up to five family members in your Family Sharing group get Pro too, at no extra cost.

Prices are set in US dollars; in every other country the App Store shows the equivalent price in local currency, including any VAT, before you confirm.
The purchase screen shows the plan, the price in your currency, whether it renews and how to cancel, before you confirm.
4. Renewal and billing
- Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase. Billing is handled entirely by Apple; we never see your payment details.
- ClearRemote Pro Yearly renews automatically at the same price every year unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current year. The renewal is charged within the 24 hours before the year ends.
- If a price ever goes up, Apple tells you in advance and, where the law or Apple requires it, asks for your agreement before the new price applies.
- ClearRemote Pro Lifetime is a one-time purchase. It does not renew and is never charged again. What you bought as Lifetime stays yours: we will not move it into a subscription.
- You can restore purchases on a new device in the app: Settings → Restore Purchases.
5. How to cancel
Cancel at any time; Pro stays active until the end of the year you have already paid for.
- In the app: Settings → Manage Subscription, which opens Apple's own page.
- iPhone and iPad: Settings → your name → Subscriptions, or apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions.
Deleting the app or your data does not cancel a subscription. Cancel it with Apple as above.
6. Refunds
Refunds are decided by Apple under its own rules at reportaproblem.apple.com. Statutory rights you have as a consumer, including in the EU, are not affected.
7. Acceptable use
Use ClearRemote only with TVs you are allowed to control. Do not use it to break the law, to disturb other people's devices, or to copy, resell or reverse-engineer the app beyond what the law allows.
8. Liability
ClearRemote is provided as it is. We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence and for injury to life, body or health, and as mandatory law requires. Otherwise, for slight negligence, we are liable only for breach of an essential obligation and only up to the damage that was foreseeable when you bought Pro. Nothing here limits rights that consumer law in your country does not allow to be limited.
9. Changes and termination
We may change these terms for a valid reason such as a new feature or a change in law, and we tell you in the app before a change that affects you takes effect. If you do not agree, stop using the app and cancel Pro. You may stop using ClearRemote at any time.
